What is Creative Commons?

When you work with the Open Press, we require you to openly license your work using the Creative Commons licensing scheme.

The TRU Open Press defaults to a CC BY-NC-SA license, which means that you retain your copyright, but your work can be used – with attribution! — by any non-commercial entity and must be shared under the same license.

One exception to this rule is work that includes Traditional or Protected Cultural Knowledge. Please contact us for more information.
