Description: This project focuses on embedding open educational practices (OEPs) into the EDUC 5990 course on Ethical Concerns and Contemporary Issues in Higher Education Leadership. It includes the development of an open textbook (Ethical Educational Leadership: Untangling Ethical Dilemmas and Imagining Alternative Futures) and course website, supported by contributions from Indigenous knowledge keepers and an Elder, and the organization of an Ethical Dilemmas Roundtable Symposium (November 22, 2024) for MEd students and faculty. By addressing gaps in existing textbooks—such as outdated language and the lack of Indigenous perspectives—this initiative promotes critical dialogue, sustainable assignments, and the co-creation of open educational resources with the potential to inform policy and amplify student voices in higher education leadership.
