TRU Open Press

What is the TRU Open Press?

Founded in 2023, the TRU Open Press is a result of long-standing and ongoing Open advocacy at TRU. Closely connected to the OEWG (Open Education Working Group), the then OEWG chair and vice-chair Brenna Clarke Gray and Marie Bartlett successfully secured a 3-year ISP (Integrated Strategic Planning) grant to develop OER (Open Educational Resources and support OEP (Open Educational Practices) at TRU.

“Create a centralized hub of publishing expertise to support students and educators with their open education resources.”

With funding from Thompson Rivers University’s Integrated Strategic Planning grant, the TRU Open Press was born.
