Description: This project was the creation of an open-access digital textbook on Electrical Shock and Arc Flash Safety for Level 1 students in Electrician, Refrigeration/HVAC, and Gasfitter programs at TRU and across BC. Current training materials are limited, costly, and often aimed at supervisors, leaving entry-level students without accessible, practical resources. The textbook will cover electrical shock, arc flash, and hazard identification, using real-world examples, PPE guidance, case studies, and self-assessment activities. Built in Pressbooks, it will include photos, videos, and interactive elements to serve as a practical field guide for new trades students.
