Description: The Critical Tourism Studies (CTS) Conference Proceedings Journal is a global network of scholars dedicated to examining tourism within its political, economic, cultural, social, and environmental contexts. Established by Irena Ateljevic, Nigel Morgan, Annette Pritchard, and Candice Harris, CTS has fostered a rigorous, inclusive, and transformative academic space for over 20 years. Inspired by its founders and past leaders, we are proud to help carry this movement forward!
Under the direction of Kellee Caton, TRU Open Press has enhanced the design and content of the CTS Conference Proceedings Journal, now hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform through BC ELN. This transition incorporates visual elements and includes a callout for photos from conference participants. The journal serves as a key platform for showcasing research that drives social change in tourism scholarship, practice, and education. The CTS Conference Proceedings Journal is now overseen by Gabe Carpendale, whom we supported with training on the OJS system to ensure the journal’s continued success. We have also offered to support copyediting as required.
