Services provided: Working with the Copy Editor (Debbie Bateman, Editor, Open Learning), the IJEDE Managing Editor (Michelle Harrison), and various international authors, the Open Press has assisted with research article publishing by creating HTML and PDF galleys, using the appropriate style and formatting required. To date, we have provided support for 4 articles published in Vol38(2) and Vol39(1). 
Description: The International Journal of E-Learning & Distance Education (formerly the Journal of Distance Education) is an international publication of the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE) / Le Réseau canadien pour l’innovation en éducation (RCIÉ). Its aims are to promote and encourage scholarly work in e-learning and distance education and provide a forum for the dissemination of international scholarship. Original material in either English or French is invited in categories of research articles, research briefs or book reviews. The opinions expressed in the articles of this journal are those of their authors, not the Board or staff of the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education.

This is an open access journal. IJEDE is listed with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). All content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. There is no embargo period.
